BRB

Good news and bad news. Bad first, I won't be posting for the next week and a half or so because I'll be out of town (yay summer vacation!) Now the good news, when I get back, I'm sure I'll have plenty of pictures of pretty places and pretty outfits to show you guys!

So in the meantime, stay cool! (And by that I mean, it's hot outside so go to place with air conditioning, such as my favourite place in the world... a mall!! Bonus points if its an outlet mall too!!)

Pretty Colours

I've realized that I've got a lot of nail polish and the ones I have in the pics are only the pretty, presentable looking ones. I think I'm obsessed with buying polish! When I see them on sale, I can't help but to grab a few shades.

But I'll have you know that most of them were for a dollar and none of them were purchased at the retail price. I am a bargain hunter afterall...

The second image are my most recent purchases. I actually just got the orange one yesterday and I can't wait to use it! I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Super Mario

Boy do I have something sweet for you guys today! Mario themed cupcakes! I actually made these a long time ago but I still think these were the best cupcakes I've ever baked. Plus the designs are just so adorable! I gave them to my boyfriend on his birthday (even though he hates sweets, its the thought that counts right?)

Today is also supposed to be the hottest day of the year but I'm too afraid to step outside of my air conditioned home to find out just how hot it really is. I wanted to do fashion pics for you guys but I guess that'll just have to wait for another day.

So for now, stay cool!

Yellow Sunshine

See this dress? I love it soooo much. When I first saw it at H & M, I knew I had to have it so I splurged. As you get to know me, you will see that I never ever by clothes for full price. When I go into a store, I head straight for the sale rack. Sometimes I don’t even go into stores that don’t have a giant sale sign in the front. But on this rare occasion, I walked around H&M and spotted this gorgeous dress.

I loved the yellow and I loved how girly it was so I bought it. Now, 4 months after my purchase, I still regret it. Not because I don’t still love the dress because I do, I feel 10x better once I put it on. My buyer’s remorse is because a month after I purchased it, I saw it on the sale rack at H&M for $10!!!!! Of course, it was too late for me to get a price adjustment so I was stuck with over paying.

The one time I purchase something for full price! I’m never paying full price ever again.

Extreme Couponing

I didn’t even watch an entire episode… and I am hooked! My boyfriend found a clip on YouTube and showed me how a woman cut her grocery store bill from $500 something to $5. My eyes lit up and I set out looking for coupons but to my disappointment, it’s a lot harder than it looks!

We walked around our local grocery store and all we came up with were coupons for 50 cents off a $5 product. That’s not gonna get me on the show! So, I turned my search to the great ol’ Internet and I found some free coupons. Here are some of the websites I visited:

www.save.ca

www.websaver.ca

http://pgeverydaysolutions.com/pgeds/pg-brandsaver-samples-coupons.jsp

While none of these sites got me any really cool coupons (such as the ones for free stuff, no purchase necessary), they did however, have coupons for some everyday stuff to save money on. Plus, they print and send you these coupons for free so it really doesn’t get any better than this. Also, if you check in often, sometimes they have coupons for free stuff. For example, a month ago websaver gave out coupons for a free box of cheerios.

In the mail I got a coupon for a free Lysol No-Touch Hand Soap System. So I just have to go buy the product and slap a $0.59 stamp on an envelope with the receipt and get my mail-in rebate. Hopefully it all works out and I get a free $15 soap dispenser!

I think extreme couponing is a bit too extreme for me. I don’t want, nor do I have the time to sit for hours scouring for coupons and arranging them by alphabetical order. As long as I save money and get some free stuff along the way, I’m happy.

Fashion and Food

So after much undecisiveness, I've finally decided on what I want this blog to be about. I've been perusing a bunch of fashion blogs and well, I want to be like them! They are my inspiration.

The problem is... I'm no stylist. I don't follow all of the designer label stuff because frankly, I can't afford it. I wear what's stylish, trendy and most importantly, what's on sale.

So, I've decided to combine my two loves. Fashion and Food. I want to show you how to save money and look great with some amazing fashion finds. And, I want to show you some of the yummy goodies I make along the way.
